The Day of Hope began in April 2014, founded by Tara Williamson of Pink Ink Tattoo, as a heartfelt effort to uplift and support breast cancer survivors. What started as a single day of giving has grown into a powerful, community‑driven initiative that continues to expand its reach each year.
At its core, Day of Hope provides access to areola restorative tattoos for breast cancer survivors who are uninsured or underinsured. Over time, the initiative has evolved into a versatile platform for awareness, empowerment, and connection. Day of Hope has sparked meaningful partnerships and large‑scale community events, including a multi‑year collaboration with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers Minor League Baseball team. Together, we have hosted Breast Cancer Awareness game nights, launched social campaigns, created co‑branded merchandise, and organized a full‑stadium community event that transformed the ballpark into a vibrant resource hub for survivors across North Carolina.
These events bring together nonprofits, community leaders, local businesses, and supporters to create a space where survivors can find resources, celebrate their strength, and feel seen.
The Pink Ink Promise Foundation has proudly adopted Day of Hope as one of its signature initiatives. It represents our commitment to restoring confidence, building community, and ensuring that every survivor has access to the support they deserve.
If you’d like to get involved, support our mission, or learn more about upcoming Day of Hope events, we welcome you to join us in making a lasting impact.
